The Atlas Foundation Chief Executive is hiring an Executive Assistant to support her and the Board of Trustees.  

Executive Assistant Job Description 


 To provide support to the Chief Executive, Chairman and Board of Directors, to ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the Atlas Foundation and support the work of key volunteers and staff.


ATLAS was founded by England and British Lions legend, Jason Leonard OBE, to harness the power of the global rugby family and tackle the biggest issues facing vulnerable young people around the world. Today ATLAS works across 16 countries, empowering 29,855 young people. Projects focus on rugby and education, developing the tools and support networks for children to lift themselves and their communities out of poverty. 


The Front Row Club is a lighthearted online members club wholly owned by Atlas, and all money raised through the club comes straight to Atlas for our work with children and young people. 



  • Extensive and proactive diary management
  • Gatekeeper and point of contact, screening calls/e-mails
  • Organising travel, accommodation and meeting rooms
  • Liaising and interacting with staff, volunteers and supporters in person, via phone and e-mail
  • Drafting responses/communication on behalf of the CEO and Board Members
  • Compiling presentations and meeting decks
  • Updating content on, and ensuring accuracy, of the Atlas Foundation and Front Row Club websites
  • Ensuring Atlas Foundation and Front Row Club social media posts are delivered
  • Ensuring Atlas protocols for the use of logos, images and content are followed
  • Digitally organising and filing incoming and copies of outgoing correspondence and documents
  • Comprehensive minute taking at meetings and compilation of clear and concise meeting notes
  • Ensuring professionals tools (i.e. Laptops, iPhones, etc.) are in good working order
  • Digitally maintaining and updating internal and external contacts and donor details
  • Assisting Board Members, Atlas and Front Row Club team members and volunteers with ad hoc tasks
  • Event administration
  • Look after CEO emails when on leave, proactively drafting responses and actively responding
  • Help CEO assess and define critical impact opportunities weekly
  • Help CEO produce progress reports monthly and Board papers quarterly
  • Be available/contactable as and when needed outside of normal working hours



  • A passion for rugby
  • A passion for charity, particularly the welfare of children and young people
  • Demonstrable capacity to learn quickly and execute tasks accurately
  • Calm under pressure
  • Organised and capable of prioritising a busy and varied workload
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Keen eye for design and competence in creating visually appealing digital and printed materials
  • Experience of website content management
  • Experience of using social media to increase followers



Dependent on experience in the range £19k - £24k pa (pro-rata)

Freelance contract also possible for the right candidate



Working alongside the CEO in the Atlas Office near Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, with some home working possible.


Open to negotiation. Full time cover is desirable, but an efficient, experienced applicant only available part-time, or working non-standard hours would be considered.
