The Matt Ratana Rugby Foundation (MRRF) was set up in response to the tragic death of Police Sergeant and Rugby Coach Matt Ratana. Funds raised by the MRRF will support the design and delivery of initiatives that support community and school’s rugby training, exchange experiences and investing in improving equipment and schools and clubs across the UK, New Zealand and South Africa. Rugby is a sport which promotes inclusivity, diversity, courage, respect, passion and integrity. The MRRF is Matt’s legacy and it is carrying on all of the ambitions he had. Through this challenge I also want to try and highlight the issues men face around their mental health and to try and break the stigma, promote openness and get men talking. After being diagnosed with Complex PTSD this is a very important subject for me and one I’m passionate about. John Nicolaou
