Through one of the LSEG charities we met Anita who was a fund raiser for the Atlas Foundation and was on a visit to arrange fundraising.  Sadly she lost her life in the devastating bombing that unfortunately recently occurred in Sri Lanka along with her two young children, Alex and Annabel.
Her husband Ben survived and is an inspirational man who I can’t imagine how he copes but wishes to continue the legacy and the aims of Anita and their children. His aim is to raise £200k towards projects in Sri Lanka and India to help those disadvantaged that need it most, providing a tribute despite his huge loss. Having met Ben at an Atlas event shortly after his tragic loss, London Stock Exchange have entered a team to ride a 12 hour Cyclothon (5th September) around Brands Hatch in Anita’s, Ben’s and Annabel’s memory. We’d like to try and raise £10k towards this and with LSEG support we are well on the way to that target and are putting together a team of staff members (in cc) and riders to undertake a tough challenge.  A mini Le Mans for road bikes – 12 hour non stop cyclothon around Brands Hatch on 5th September.

With London Stock Exchange Foundation matching every £1 raised up to £5,000, we are looking for donations/sponsorship however large or small, to help us help Ben. Please help us.

Please support us – we really do appreciate it.  Please also do forward if you want to help spread the word to colleagues, who may not have received this.

Thank you all.
