A project to feed, clothe, coach, and educate children in 13 of the poorest areas of Salta is founded by Marcelo Cordoba, who was subsequently elected to the Sports Ministry for Salta.

Juan "Chipi" Figallo has teamed up with The Atlas Foundation to support this project and raise money for children living in Salta's poverty-stricken "barrios." Through his fund, Figallo hopes to provide opportunities for these disadvantaged children by introducing the sport and values of rugby into these communities, ultimately improving the quality of their day-to-day lives while encouraging successful academic and respectable futures. Atlas works with Figallo to carry out this programme by contributing rugby equipment, resources, and funding for coaches.
