Shawsey's Big Adventure

In the dark ages, a larger than average child was born in Nairobi, Kenya. Aged 10 he left Africa and went on to become one of the legends of international rugby, playing for England and the British and Irish Lions. This man, Simon Shaw, returned to Kenya for the first time in January 2019 as an Atlas Rugby Champion.

There he met the kids we support from the Kibera Slum in Nairobi, and within a day Shawsey's Big Adventure was born.

It just came to me. I said I was going to get a London bus and fit it out to be a mobile classroom, and drive it to Nairobi for the kids to use.

As ever, our Chairman Jason Leonard will lead the team, and along with Simon Shaw, other players and supporters will create a powerful team.
